About Us
From a School Playground to Training Newborn Photographers Worldwide
Newborn Baby Posing Limited began with a chance meeting in a school playground.
Sandra, an experienced photographer with over 20 years in the industry, was working primarily as a nursery photographer. While researching newborn photography as a way to create a year-round photography business, she discovered that one of the essential pieces of equipment at the time, a specialist newborn posing beanbag, was only available from suppliers in the United States.
I was a primary school teacher with a passion for organisation and business and I immediately saw an opportunity.
Together, we decided to create and sell newborn posing beanbags in the UK. What started with a single product quickly grew into a specialist prop shop serving newborn photographers throughout the UK and beyond.
As Sandra expanded her newborn photography business, we realised that photographers needed more than just equipment. They needed guidance, support, and training.
So we combined our skills and launched newborn photography training workshops.
Over the last 11+ years, we have helped photographers of all experience levels develop the skills and confidence needed to photograph newborns safely and professionally.
Our Approach to Training
Our workshops are practical and designed to help photographers feel confident working with newborns.
During training:
- Sandra teaches camera settings, lighting, composition and camera angles.
- I demonstrate wrapping techniques, posing workflows, and safe newborn handling.
- Together, we guide photographers through every stage of a successful newborn session.
This combination of photography expertise and practical posing experience allows delegates to see the entire process from start to finish.
